MusiCares Provides a Safety Net of Critical Health & Welfare Services to the Music Community

MusicCares from The Recording Academy offers preventive, emergency, and recovery programs and acts as a safety net supporting the health and welfare of the music community.

MusiCares grants short-term financial assistance for personal or addiction needs that have arisen due to unforeseen medically related circumstances. Funding may be awarded for needs such as rent, car payments, insurance premiums, utilities, medical/dental expenses, psychotherapy, addiction treatment, sober living, and other personal expenses.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Applicants must be able to document employment history in one of the following areas:

  • A minimum of five years of employment in the music industry

  • Six commercially released recordings or videos (singles)

• Musicians, singer/songwriters, engineers, stagehands, managers, tour bus drivers, A&R, agents, make-artists, live crew, and other music industry professionals are eligible
