You can help us clear our waiting lists for health services. Here's what we need.
Dear SMASH Community,
This year, Giving Tuesday lands right when we need the boost most.
Working musicians are holding up our city’s soundscape — night after night, gig after gig — while navigating a healthcare system that has forgotten they exist.
When a tooth aches, when anxiety spikes, when an ear rings, or a body says “enough,” they call us.
And because of our health providers (dentists, audiologists, mental health professionals, doctors) — and supporters like you — we often get to pick up the phone and say “yes."
In 2025, we’ve proudly provided 350+ health services to our musician members, as well as ongoing support for insurance navigation, resourcing, and referrals.
Today, we are working diligently to clear our waiting lists. To best serve our musicians in the next three months, we need:
$13,450 for Dental - 44 total member requests remaining
$26,750 for Mental Health & Wellness - 27 member requests remaining
$10,240 for Custom Hearing Protection - 32 total member requests remaining
We have one dedicated staff member who connects our members to the care they need, so these numbers help us pay for both time and costs associated with these crucial health services.
