Phish Names SMASH as a Waterwheel Foundation Grant Recipient

Join us on April 14 at Climate Pledge Arena for PHISH, who has named SMASH their Seattle recipient of their Water Wheel Foundation Grant!

The Waterwheel Foundation

Created by Phish in 1997 to oversee the band’s various charitable activities, The Waterwheel Foundation has been harnessing the kindness of the Phish fan community to create positive change for over 25 years.

WaterWheel fulfills this mission by collecting donations for local nonprofit organizations in the communities where Phish’s tour stops via WaterWheel’s Touring Division. WaterWheel also supports nonprofits based in Phish’s home state of Vermont, especially those focused on cleaning up the Lake Champlain watershed.

WaterWheel chooses beneficiaries from a wide sphere of causes including those working to protect the environment, promote social justice, fight food insecurity, provide music education, register voters, and those that help women and children, the homeless and others in need.

Thanks to the generosity of Phish fans, since its creation WaterWheel has donated over $9 million to 500+ nonprofit organizations.
