The Vitalogy Foundation has donated to Seattle Musicians Access to Sustainable Healthcare (SMASH), showcasing its commitment to the arts and community welfare. Established by iconic rock band Pearl Jam members, the Vitalogy Foundation has long been known for its philanthropic efforts, particularly in community health, social change, and the arts. The band’s history is intertwined with the city’s musical identity, and through this grant, they continue to give back to the community that helped shape their legacy.

“Smash provides vital assistance to my fellow artists in the PNW. I know firsthand how hard it is to make ends meet and pursue art. I am happy to be able to make a contribution to this important community-based organization. Please consider doing the same if you are able,” says Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam.

This grant is more than just a financial boost; it’s an investment rooted in a shared vision of a thriving arts community. It reflects a deep understanding of health's critical role in sustaining a vibrant cultural ecosystem. With the support of the Vitalogy Foundation, SMASH is better equipped than ever to meet the challenges ahead, broaden its outreach, increase the number of healthcare services provided,  and continue making a difference in the lives of the city’s musicians.
