ree

The first day of Spring is almost here, and it is always a welcomed occasion to have sunset after 6:00pm! Daylight Savings Time Begins March 12th, don't forget to set your clocks forward one hour!

Thanks to our friends at Alaska Air, The Murdock Trust, and SXSW, our staff is headed to Austin March 10th - 19th for the SXSW conference and festival! SMASH flies Alaska Airlines because they fly to over 115 destinations across the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Costa Rica were ranked "Highest in Customer Satisfaction Among Traditional Carriers in North America" in the J.D. Power North America Airline Satisfaction Study for 12 consecutive years! We love you, Alaska Airlines, and we can't wait to learn more about healthcare innovation and meet more of our music community during SXSW! You can check out some of the events and showcases we recommend here.

This month on the blog, we're highlighting TeZATalks, a Seattle-based musician and activist, who draws listeners into their world of life experiences through their genre-bending sound, mixing pop, rap, hardcore, and electronic. Check out our most recent blog post on their recent singles off their much-awaited debut full-length album "Black Girl American Horror Story." Check out the full feature here.

Your gift can shape the future of our city's music scene.

Behind the scenes of your favorite albums, far too many musicians are struggling to afford the healthcare they need to stay healthy and make music. When basic needs like routine physicals, mental health support, dental care, and glasses are often inaccessible, it is extremely difficult to sustain a music career. And without help, the music that has defined our city for decades could fade.
