Chris King & The Gutterballs Release 90s Nostolgia-filled Music Video for New Single, "City Love."

ree

It’s 1996, Leonardo Dicaprio and Claire Danes have just starred in Romeo and Juliet, “Macarena” by Los Del Rio has just hit number one on the Billboard charts, Bill Clinton was reelected to a second term, and in the Northwest corner of the country, a teenage girl has just won a private concert of a lifetime from BOP Magazine from her favorite band, Chris King & The Gutterballs.

The parents are away, it's graduation weekend, and we all know what that means! It’s time to party! Little did everyone know they would hear the unreleased new single from Chris King & The Gutterballs, “City Love,” and be featured in their new music video!

Partnering with Director and Videographer Brennan Moring (Sealife, Peyote Ugly), Derek Luther (Smoker Dad), and Nikki Barron (Kittenteeth), Chris King and The Gutterballs created a 90s nostalgia-filled music video shot in the City of Shoreline, WA nestled on a lake, featuring friends from other Seattle-based bands including Shaina Shepherd, Peyote Ugly, Smoker Dad as well as other pals who weren’t afraid to dress up, dance, and jump in a lake.

“City Love” is now available on all streaming platforms:

Your gift can shape the future of our city's music scene.

Behind the scenes of your favorite albums, far too many musicians are struggling to afford the healthcare they need to stay healthy and make music. When basic needs like routine physicals, mental health support, dental care, and glasses are often inaccessible, it is extremely difficult to sustain a music career. And without help, the music that has defined our city for decades could fade.
